If you're goin to Winemucca mac, With me you can ride...

A long time ago I made a deal with myself never to "drive" to Florida. Still, I somehow convinced my dumber-self to embark on a drive that is much...much longer. Perhaps influenced by the new car smell and a free XM radio subscription- on Oct. 28th Truc, Remi, myself, and a Honda Element left Maryland to start a 36hr, 2,500+ mile journey. First stop was the Land O' Manning (the good one) Indianapolis to stay with Truc's friend. The following day we drove 14 hrs, in time to spend Halloween's Eve in Gothenburg, Nebraska...yay:/ I'll take Wyoming, Utah, & Nevada over Indiana, Iowa, & Nebraska any day. The third night we stayed in Salt Lake City, Utah (If you find yourself in the Ramada by the airport there watch out. Every night is the owner's private karaoke party & he's no idol). The last leg of my trip took me past the Great Salt Lake, Utah's salt flats, many mountains, and many truck stop casinos in Nevada. I did get to drive past the famous Winnemuca, NV. Listen to the beginning of Johnny Cash's "I've Been Everywhere" and you'll get it.
